Zebra Press recently published a guide to buying and selling on the South African marketplace, bidorbuy
(12 August 2009) Even South Africans who have never used the internet for transactions that involve money can now confidently trade with other people on bidorbuy, with the help of a book recently published by Zebra Press.
The book, entitled Your Guide to Buying and Selling on bidorbuy, is the first printed guide to the ins and outs of the oldest and most successful South African online marketplace, bidorbuy.co.za. “Our intention was to bring awareness of the opportunities to be found on bidorbuy to the people who may not even have an internet connection at present”, says bidorbuy managing director Andy Higgins.
Internet access in South Africa, now available to about 4.6 million people, is expected to double within five years. Higgins is confident that many of the new internet users will be drawn to bidorbuy, which already has a 400,000-strong community. “Some people will come in search of bargain-buys. Others will come in order to earn some extra cash by selling whatever it is they have for sale”, he says and adds: “Judging from our ten-year long experience, quite a few will make bidorbuy their place of employment and their primary source of income”.
Your Guide to Buying and Selling on bidorbuy takes readers through the online trading process step by step. In 256 pages, it shows them how to register on bidorbuy, how to buy safely and how to sell at a profit. Screenshots from the bidorbuy website accompany the text. Key concepts are further illustrated by means of real-life examples and case studies.
