Measuring for the Perfect Fit

The trick to buying online is to know is exactly what size you are.

Standardised sizing models differ dramatically between brands, so knowing that you are a size M (medium) won't help you; you need to work out your size in centimeters.

Many online clothing sellers will give you the sizing of their items as a measurement in centimeters, which can be a lot more helpful then buying that 34 and hoping it will fit.

If the centimeter measurement is not given in a bobshop listing, ask the seller a question and they will be glad to give you the information.

Knowing your size in centimeters is the most powerful tool you have when shopping for clothing online.

Here's how to do it:

Ladies

Bust: Measure your bust at the fullest part.

Waist: Measure around the natural curve of your waist, at the narrowest part of your torso.

Hips: Measure at the widest point of your hips

Men

Chest: Measure across your shoulder blades so that the measuring tape comes around right under your arms.

Waist: Measure just at the top of your hip bone.
