If you’ve been inspired by the “Need for Speed” and other computer games featuring high performance cars and bikes, then how about getting your hands on the real?

Let’s start off by looking at three of the hottest two-wheelers you could hope to get your hands on.

Bikes

Ducati Diavel:
Mention the name Ducati to any motorcyclist and their eyes will light up. The Diavel is one of the most exciting bikes money can buy. With a fascinating blending of drag bike, cruiser or just plain monster, the Diavel is great in all roles. It looks good, it sounds awesome, goes fast and handles beautifully.

Honda CBR 600:
Like Ducati, Honda is a brand associated with motorbike racing and the CBR 600 lives up to the brand pedigree. If you are really desperate for speed and performance, check out the CBR600RR, the “RR” stands for Race Replica, but the CBR600F ABS will certainly give you a buzz.

BMW S1000 RR:
If you thought the S1000 RR was good when it was first introduced in 2009, then you’ll love the latest reincarnation. Using feedback from bike racers, the 2012 model has been upgraded in terms of power build up and response as well as handling. Traction control and ABS braking work well together to provide a dynamic overall performance.

But perhaps you like to get your fix from four-wheelers instead? Then check out these three head turners.

Cars

Range Rover Evoque:
With a styling reminiscent of the fabled Mini-Cooper, the Evoque lets you get your kicks both on and off road. It’s the smallest, most efficient and lightest in the Range Rover series and the interior space makes you think you’ve climbed into Dr. Who’s Tardis, it’s so unexpectedly roomy.

 Mercedes Benz E-class Coupe:
The Mercedes Benz E-class comes in a range of engine and chassis options, with a total of 13 different versions available. The top of the range for performance freaks is the E500 Sports with a V8 petrol engine equipped with the optional dynamic handling pack, which will give you a top speed of around 155 mph.
Audi RS3:
With a top speed of over 150 mph, the RS3 will satisfy that need for speed and then some. Bear in mind that the RS in the name stands for “Racing Sport” and you’ll begin to get an idea of what to expect. This is one car in which you’ll actually arrive before the kids in the back have a chance to ask, “Are we there yet?”
So whether you prefer the wind on your face on two wheels or to strap yourself into a four-wheeler, one of these beasts is sure to impress.
