The Power of Lightness

Apple aficionados have been waiting with bated breath for the Apple iPad Air. If you've been considering this tablet for yourself or a loved one, read on for more...

Apple iPad Air Tech Specs

The Apple iPad Air comes in two finishes (space gray and silver) and with storage capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The tablet is 9.4 inches long and 6.6 inches wide, with a depth of only 0.29 inch, and weighing in at only 469 grams!

Like all Apple products, the Apple iPad Air is visually striking and intuitively designed, with a beautiful and sleek touch and feel.

The Apple iPad Air features a retina display with a breathtaking 9.7 inch Multi-Touch display (2048x1536 resolution; 3.1 million pixels) with LED backlighting. It runs on the A7 chip and M7 motion co-processor with a 64-bit architecture.

The iPad Air features the iOS 7, which Apple claims is the world’s most cutting-edge mobile OS. The iOS 7 comes with Facebook and Twitter integration, iTunes Radio, AirPrint, AirPlay, AirDrop, iCloud, Passbook, Siri and much more.

iPad Air Apps

Safari, Photo Booth, iTunes Store, Messages, FaceTime, Maps, iBooks, Music, Contacts, Notes, Reminders, and of course, Siri are some of the apps that come pre-installed with the Apple iPad Air. In addition to the tablet, the box also comes with the Lightning to USB Cable and a USB Power Adapter.

Features We Love in the Apple iPad Air

What we love most about the Apple iPad Air is that it is so astonishingly lightweight and thin while also being durable. It looks great, with an aluminium/glass finish, diamond-cut edges, and feels modern and sleek.

In terms of performance, Apple has outdone itself. The iPad Air is superfast, highly responsive, and you’ll love its graphics quality. We also like that it has faster wi-fi, auto-sync via iCloud, impressive speakers, and dual mics.

One of our favourite features is the Apple iPad Air’s iSight camera with 5MP, face detection, autofocus, backlight, five-element lens and geotagging. The Face Time HD camera (720p HD video and 1.2 MP) is also quite impressive and comes with face detection and backlighting. Another feature we love about the Apple iPad Air is its long-lasting battery life. It provides upto 10 hours of wi-fi Internet surfing, video or music.

What We Don't like about the iPad Air

The only thing we dislike about the Apple iPad Air is the price tag! Add the cost of an iPad Air Smart Cover and/or Smart Case to the already exorbitant price of the tablet, and you’re looking at an even higher cost of ownership. But is it worth the splurge this Christmas? We say yes!
