What We Love about the LG Nexus 5

The phone has a beautiful, sleek and minimalistic design aesthetic. It looks and feels beautiful and the “simplicity” mantra is integrated throughout the phone. It measures 137.9 x 69.2 x 8.6 mm and weighs only 130 gm, which makes overall handling a breeze!

The LG Nexus 5 runs on the lean and mean Android 4.4 KitKat OS and comes with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, making it quick to respond and highly efficient. No drag or stickiness at all! It feels sturdy and delicate all at the same time, thanks to the polycarbonate plastic material on the back and Gorilla Glass 3 on its face. You can even pick between the black model of the LG Nexus 5 which is more “grippy” in texture compared to the white model which is smoother.

We adore the LG Nexus 5’s stunning 4.95 inch screen (1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution). Everything looks vibrant and razor sharp! You know you’re going to drop your phone! So rest easy, knowing that the touchscreen on the LG Nexus 5 is recessed a tiny bit to protect the phone against accidental drops. The phone features an amazing 8MP rear camera with LED flash; the 1.3MP front-facing camera is a delight in terms of picture quality and ease of use. No more blurry selfies!

The LG Nexus 5 comes with 16 or 32 GB of internal storage which means tons of room for all your messages, videos and pictures. Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi mean effortless connectivity and convenience. We absolutely love the wireless charging feature on the LG Nexus 5. You can charge the smartphone using a Samsung pad or Energizer.

Approximately 12 hours of battery life! Room for Improvement in the LG Nexus 5

There are very few things that we can point out in terms of shortcomings in the LG Nexus 5. If we had to pick something, we’d say the battery life could have been better. But even so, it is a huge improvement compared to its predecessor and holds up perfectly well for average, everyday use.

Our overall verdict on the LG Nexus 5 is that it is a great phone with impressive performance and a lot of visual appeal. What’s more, the phone is affordable, which makes sure that you get a lot of bang for your buck!
