With its rich cultural heritage, breath-taking natural beauty and centuries of awe-inspiring history, Europe is naturally a top draw for tourists every year. Here we take a look at the three most popular European destinations…

Destination #1: London

Places to See in London: The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, The British Museum, Westminster Abbey, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, and the Houses of Parliament.

Where to Stay:

For five star luxury: 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences, Corinthia, The Halkin, and 41 Hotel London. For more affordable options, consider The Hoxton, Amsterdam Hotel, and Bermondsey Square Hotel.

Peak Season:

May, June, September.

Entertainment/Culture:

From delectable street food (Anna Mae's Smokehouse, Jamon Jamon, Crêperie Nicolas) and fashion (the entire Oxford St.) to pubs/bars (Callooh Callay, Dabbous, Loft), and fine dining (Hix, Thirty Six by Nigel Mendham, Hakkasan Hanway Place, Bar Boulud), you’ll be spoilt for choices.

Destination #2: Paris

Places to See in Paris: Musee du Louvre, Notre-Dame Cathedral, The Eiffel Tower, Versailles Palace, Luxembourg Garden, Musee d'Orsay, Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe and dozens more!

Where to Stay:

Head to Hotel de Crillon or Hyatt Regency Paris-Madeleine for the ultimate in luxury, or to Arioso, Bristol or Ares Eiffel for easier-on-the-wallet options.

Peak Season:

June-August. Excellent weather, but also the most expensive (and crowded) time to go.

Entertainment & Culture:

Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Hermès -- you can shop till you drop in this fashion capital. For the best in French street cuisine, head to Frenchie To Go or CheZaline. For fine dining, we recommend Le Sergent Recruteur and La Tour d'Argent.

Destination #3: Rome

Places to See in Rome: Church of San Luigi dei Francesi, Trastevere, the Pantheon,  St. Peter's Basilica, the Trevi Fountain, Santa Maria della Vittoria, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori, The Spanish Steps, Capitoline Museums.and of course, the Colosseum.

Where to Stay:

If you’re really looking to splurge, look no further than The View at the Spanish Steps, Hotel Palazzo Manfredi and The Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria. For more affordable rates, we recommend Artemide Hotel, and The Aurelia Hotel.

Peak Season:

June-August, but we recommend visiting in October-December. You’ll enjoy better hotel prices and avoid the crazy crowd of tourists. It’s colder than peak season, but never brutally cold.

Entertainment & Culture:

For the best in food, head to Armando al Pantheon, Dagnino or La Pergola. Shopaholics can head to the area around Piazza di Spagna where the Bottega Venetas and Jimmy Choos rub shoulders with little standalone boutiques.

The list of places to visit and things to do in European cities is virtually limitless. Hopefully, this short list will spark your imagination and get you to start planning your next vacay!
