The new Fortuner model is bigger than the older model, measuring 4,795mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,835mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,745mm. The new model is 5mm higher with 225mm of ground clearance.
Toyota is claiming a smoother ride with a strengthened chassis and the redesigned suspension, taking the form of a double-wishbone up front and a four-link setup at the back. Toyota has also added additional rear stabilisers to enhance the smoothness of the ride.
