Unusual item! Outside of my field completely so I first listed it as a croc skin - then very kindly informed by knowledgeable BoB users that it is a snake skin. If it helps identification, the seller says the skin comes from East Africa. So,may be an African Python?
Vintage (well over 50 years old) snake skin in very good condition. It is 2.5 metres long and 30cm wide at the widest part. Has tiny holes in some of the scales at the very edge - could be from hanging it on a wall (see second pic where back side is shown). In excellent shape overall - a very attractive item.
