DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTIONA really beautiful studio pottery display, floral arrangement or ikebana vase. the vase dates from the 1960s /70s era and it is large and heavy. It has a diameter of 35 cm and stands 10 cm high. It weighs 5.22 kg. The internal depth is only 2 cm and the vase top circular opening has a diameter of 8.5 cm. The outer area on the top of the vase has a rough circular finish and is glazed in a striking black metallic glaze. The bottom section and foot are smooth and covered in the same metallic black glaze. Internally the vase is also glazed in a light grey glaze. The pottery underneath the glaze is fired red terracotta. You can see the item on offer here in the image above and 7 images which describe it further follow. CONDITIONThe vase is in very good condition in all respects.
NOTES
A lovely and collectable retro studio vase. Beautiful to display by itself in the right setting or to hold a floral display, such as an ikebama arrangement.
