A lovely Victorian silver straining ladle or mint sauce spoon made in London in 1856 by acclaimed silversmith George Adams. The spoon in the fiddle and thread pattern, measures 16cm and weighs a hefty 48 grams. It has been well used, the bowl of the spoon not being perfectly round, there is one small split in the piercing, but this is secure. A scarce and attractive item.
