Heritage
The Old Bushmills Distillery is the world's oldest licensed distillery with a licence dated 1608...they say at Bushmills that almost 400 years of practice makes perfect. It is located in a small village in County Antrim, on the northern coast of Ireland. At the 2003 San Francisco World Spirits Competition it won five Awards including Distiller of the Year.
Tasting Notes
Nose: A sweet spicy aroma, reminiscent of apple pie, with overtones of oloroso sherry, vanilla, honey and perfumy oily notes. Very characterful and complex.
Taste: The rich malty flavour is clear, and a smoothness due to triple distillation and the traditional absence of smoky character.
