A Royal Doulton 3-division dish from the Old English Inns series, depicting a rustic country inn alongside a stream and bridge, and inscribed "The Royal Oak, Winsford". It has oak leaves and acorns scrolling around the edges, and a very art deco moulding at the top and bottom.
As a matter of interest, although made in England, Royal Doulton registered many designs in Australia because of law at the time in Australia that prevented items from being copied.
This dish is in lovely condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration, and not even any natural crazing to the glaze.
It measures 29 x 17cm.
