This stunning totally untreated Spinel was earth mined in the Mecca of the Spinel World - Mogok, Burma. At 6.64 Carats, and Internally Flawless it is a very impressive and incredibly beautiful specimen.
By now, most on here will know that I am a BIG fan of the Spinel. I cannot deny it. The Spinel epitomises what gems should be - totally natural.
THE SPINEL
Spinels specific gravity is 3.58-3.61. It is a natural and treatment-free stone - neither glass filling nor heat treatments. Cut by the spirits? Might be, but absolutely not burned, irradiated, glass injected or lubricated by the devils.
