Great Britain : Two bronze Royal Medals from the early 1900s

The smaller medal was issued by the town of Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland, to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII & his Queen, Alexandra, in 1902. This medal measures 28mm in diameter.

The larger medal is crown-size and weighs 25.4 grams and commemorates the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to the Lever Brothers (Soap) Factory at Port Sunlight on Merseyside on the 25th March 1914. This impressive, 38mm diameter, cleaned bronze medallion, by Elkington, has the effigies of the King and Queen on the obverse, and a representation of the factory on the reverse; with the wording “THEIR MAJESTIES KING GEORGE V AND QUEEN MARY. Visited Port Sunlight March 25th 1914”
