ANTIQUE GERMAN ARCHITECTURAL DRAWING
Very interesting piece - dated January '28
The Rathaus (City Hall) in Füssen, Allgäu, Germany
Very interesting drawing of the "Rathaus" in Füssen, Allgäu, a town in Bavaria, Germany.
We could not find any specific information on the piece during a short Google search, so should be an interesting piece to research!
The drawing appears to be a type of pencil or charcoal, done on paper and later fixed to cardboard for framing.
It is hand signed and has various German words written at the bottom, pictured in the last three images. It is dated January '28, which we assume is 1928. We are not experts on the subject, so are not able to tell if it is perhaps 1828!
Apart from some yellowing and watermarks, the drawing is in good shape, no structural damage except for a few fold marks and nicks around the outer border that would be covered by a frame.
Please have a look at the images to verify age and condition.
Total size of the piece is 65cm x 47cm, with about a 5cm border.
All questions welcome.
