Housed in a beautiful wooden box are two coins. A Proof R2 Circulation Nickel and a Proof Silver R2 Crown. Also included are two sheets of stamps issued by the South African Post Office depicting the architecture of the Union Buildings.
I feel that it is worth mentioning something about the rarity/value of this set. If you compare similar sets such as the 90th SARB Anniversary Set (Edition: 4000) and the Nelson Mandela 90th Birthday Celebration Set (Edition: 5000) you will notice that this set is extremely rare (Edition: 700). Last month a NGC graded PF70 Silver R2 Crown sold for R8000 and a PF69 Nickel R2 for R7500 giving a total value of around R15000 for this set. Seeing that this set is one of the first sets with a very low number (41) the chances of these two coins grading PF69 and/or PF70 are very likely. I am of the opinion that these sets will become very sought after in the years the come. I start this set on R1 to give everyone the opportunity of acquiring this much coveted set.
