Come walk with lions.....
Rare White Lions...... 
Through their natural habitat, side by side.
When you pack your bags and set off on the trip of a lifetime, you will be taking the first step towards a life altering experience.
You are invited to take a walk on the wild side with white lions in the Botha mountains, where experienced guides will accompany you, all the while sharing some of the little known facts about the animals, conservation and their natural habitat.
As the lions rush past you, perhaps brushing against you, you can't help but be thrilled by their closeness and their sheer power. You will see them run and climb rocks, witness their speed and agility, (and sometimes downright lion laziness...), and possibly even see them stalk other animals they encounter.
The adolescent white lions you walk with will perhaps nudge your thigh, lie down for a rest and let you touch them, and even provide the perfect setting for a movie star photo!
Two hours blurs by in what feels like 10 minutes and all too soon you will be back where you started.
Please note that there are 2 (two) vouchers for ONE person each on auction.
We are a conservation group who have actively taken a stance against canned hunting. Instead of just signing a petition, we have actively been involved in turning the canned hunting industry on its head. By proving that lions are worth more alive than dead, we are slowly proving to the industry that eco-tourism does work. These lions will eventually be retired to live out their natural lives in peace. We would love to explain more about this 'out of the box' project when you join us on this awesome conservation project.
LOCATION: Vrede, North East Free State. (Approximately 2 hrs drive from O.R. Tambo Airport)
DURATION: Allow at least 2 hours for the walk.
THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR:
- People who are fairly fit and in good health.
- Anyone interested in interaction with wildlife and/or nature.
NOT FOR:
- Children under 14 or 1.3m tall.
- Pregnant women.
- Anyone suffering from a medical condition worsened by exertion.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Dress sensibly
- No loose/dangling clothing or accessories.
- Comfortable hiking/walking shoes.
- Sunblock and hats advisable.
- Lunch is available at the restaurant / bar.
- Up to 10 people can be accommodated in a single walk at any one time.
- An electronic voucher will be emailed to you after completion of your purchase and payment.
Voucher is valid for a period of 6 months from date of issue.
Participation is at your own risk, and you will be required to sign an indemnity prior to the walk commencing. A once-off booking and admin fee of R50 applies.
