Mechanical clocks in leather cases - Portable timing devices
Both clocks offered at one price
These clocks were most likely used by watchmen or security guards on a premises where the keys were secured at various points in the premises. The guards then had to clock in at these point using the keys, proving that they were not sleeping on the job!
Since we do not have the winders or keys, they could not be tested and will be sold as is. Judging by the condition, I can't see why they would not be in working order, although a service may be required.
The clocks are in a fairly good condition with no obvious damage apart from scratches to the cover glass. The leather cases are intact but have some spots and scuffs along the edges.
The clock casings are aluminium and in good condition.There are holes at the back for a winding key, so obviously they have mechanical wind-up movements.
The sub dial at the 6 o'clock position is marked up to 24, so assuming that the clocks could measure time up to 24 hours. Interestingly, the markers on the sub dial is marked anti clockwise.
The clocks also have keyholes on the sides of the case where they can be unlocked and opened. Just below the dial is a shaft where I presume they can be adjusted, started or stopped.

The clock cases measure 12cm in diameter and are 6cm thick.
The dials measure about 5.5cm in diameter.
