Compare the stats of KGV 1923-1936 coins and you will notice that this coin can be considered on par with some of the rarest and most valuable KGV coins. It is extremely important to take into consideration that most QEII coins were stuck very weakly. It is for this reason that it is very hard to have coins grade above MS63 - couple this with contact marks and you have a very hard time in finding top graded specimens. Most people were never really interested in QEII coins in the past because they looked at the mintage figures in the books thinking that there are hundreds and thousands. Most coins therefore ended up as scrap metal. Currently, interest in the QEII series is picking up and people are prepared to pay high prices for highly graded coins. The reason being that there is a huge possibility that the coins might be able to appreciate a lot in value kind of like the previous series/years (1923-1952).
