A Magnificent Art Nouveau Table Basket - WMF
A lovely large pressed metal basket with a centre motif of a girl's head, in typical Art Nouveau style. She has long hair adorned with bunches of grapes and leaves. From the head four identical linear patterns sweep out and upward towards the four corners of the basket. The top of the handle repeats the design of the grapes and leaves.
- Condition: very good condition, no dents, minor scratches and some plate loss
- Dimensions: 25 cm high (including handle) x 24 x 24 cm / bowl: 4.5 cm high
- Markings: WMF, a few unidentified stamps, and what I presume a makers mark, OX
