| DESCRIPTION | A lovely small to medium sized landscape painting depicting MEIRINGSPOORT. Painted by the well known and listed South African artist J L Faure in oil paint. The painting is done on artist board (fine treated canvass on hardboard) and it was recently re - framed in an attractive dark wooden frame with inner frame which shows it beautifully. The artist has signed the artwork at bottom right and the artwork is not dated, but probably dates from about 1980. The artwork measures 400 x 500 mm in the frame and the artwork alone measures 240 x 340 mm. You can see the painting as it is sold in the image above. | A very well executed artwork with great colour use and excellent composition by an accomplished and popular artist. It is offered here at a low starting bid. J L Faure was a student of Thinus de Jongh and it shows in his excellent execution of landscapes which are so realistic that they almost draw you in. It is suggested that you research the artist and his works on the internet if this artwork interests you. PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE ANOTHER PAINTING BY THIS ARTIST ON AUCTION AT THE MOMENT. IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE AS THIS PAINTING AND IS IDENTICALLY FRAMED.
