| DESCRIPTION | An original watercolour painting of MAKALANI PALMS IN SOUTHWEST AFRICA by well - known South African Artist ELSA CLOETE. The painting is done in lovely stylised fashion by an artist of considerable skill in painting in water colour and the artist signed it at bottom left and dated it 1985. She also wrote the title of the painting, together with her contact details, on the back of the painting. The artwork is mounted and framed in a very nice solid wooden frame and is also protected by glass. The framed painting is large for a water colour painting and measures 85 x 65 cm and the artwork alone measures 67 x 48 cm. You can see the artwork on auction her in the image above. | A really lovely and decorative painting executed by an artist of obvious talent. This painting is also a nice piece of investment art painted by an artist who is a member of the Water Colour Society of South Africa. She has exhibited widely and her works sell at a very high price. If you are interested in this artwork you are advised to research the artist on the Internet where you will find extensive information on her and her artworks. The artwork on auction here has an exhibitor's number on it and was obviously purchased at one of her exhibitions. |
