A very striking totally untreated multi coloured Tanzanite with beautiful fire and sparkle. In natural daylight, a lovely deep blue, with strong violet blushes that sweep across the stone as you turn it. There is a hint of green that completes the picture. In artificial lighting ii comes to life with flashing silver sparks !

This is a striking Tanzanite with fabulous visual appeal. The cut, and the proportions are superb - it would make an exquisite ring which HPJ/Aristocracy would be delighted to design make for the winning Bidder.
Tanzanite is the blue/purple variety of the mineral zoisite (a calcium aluminium hydroxy silicate) which was discovered in the Mererani Hills of Northern Tanzania in 1967, near the city of Arusha and Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite is noted for its remarkably strong trichroism, appearing alternately sapphire blue, violet and burgundy depending on crystal orientation.
