L-Carnitine is an amino acid involved in the body's energy metabolism, also shown to promote recovery after exercise.
It is also a safe method of improving insulin sensitivity and blood vessel health for individuals with weakened or delicate cardiac health. ALCAR also exerts beneficial effects on neurons, repairing the damage induced by some states, such as diabetes (diabetic neuropathy).
L-carnitine-l-tartrate has been found to be one of the more stable forms of carnitine, and is well researched for various applications. It has also been shown to have positive effects in endurance sport.
