GIGANTIC VINTAGE POWER STATION PRESSURE GAUGE
Extremely rare piece
A must have for any collector
Have a look at the match box to get an idea of the size!
What you are looking at is the largest pressure gauge I have ever seen and I bet the largest you've ever seen as well!
As far as we could determine it is from the old Klip power station outside Vereeniging, that was decommissioned in 1986 and subsequently demolished. (Thanks to Radial for the info)
As indicated on the dial, it was restored by Stan Nixon in 1994 and it is still in great shape. The only flaw we could find is a bubble like mark on the dial below and between the 300 and 350 mark, not too obvious unless seen up close.
It measures a whopping 53.5cm (yes, more than half a meter!) in diameter, with a depth of 15.5cm.
There is an electrical inlet near the top, so it can be assumed that it has, or can be fitted with, a light behind the dial for a really stunning display.
This piece will look awesome hanging on a wall in a collection!
Please have a look at the images to verify age and condition. Images are of the actual item.
Do not miss this rare piece. Changes are you will not see another one very soon!
