Xbox LIVE Vision Camera with Headset and Xbox LIVE Gold 1-Month Membership Card (Xbox
In a nutshell:
The Xbox 360 gets its own version of EyeToy with this multi-use webcam and motion sensing controller that is a must-have piece of next gen hardware.
The lowdown:
Capturing at a resolution of 640x480 and at 30 frames per-second, the Live Vision Camera has far more practical uses than the EyeToy ever did, with the ability to use it for free live video chat and picture messaging. It¿¿¿s extremely easy to use and even lets you customise your own gamertag picture. The camera will also work on a PC too. Installation is very very easy--simply plug it in and the Xbox 360 recognises it straightaway.
It comes with a free download of card game UNO and the Super Monkey Ball style Totemball. Other games that support the Live Vision Camera include Bankshot Billiards, Texas Hold'em, Hardwood Hearts, Hardwood Spades and Ubisoft¿¿¿s Rainbow Six: Vegas which allows you to digitise your face into the game. The Live Vision Camera has every chance of becoming as essential to next gen gaming as it is to next gen online chat.
Most exciting moment:
Although it is only a card game, UNO instantly illustrates just how much the Vision camera can transform a game. Each player gets their own little video feed on-screen, so you can chat to and see whoever you¿¿¿re playing with and communicate with them in real-time. Dressing up can also push up the fun factor somewhat. Just make sure it¿¿¿s appropriate!
Since you ask:
Developer Strange Flavour, creators of Totemball are planning another two Xbox Live Vision games for the future. It¿¿¿s not clear though whether they¿¿¿ll be downloadable Xbox Live Arcade games or proper retail titles.
The bottom line:
This is EyeToy done right and already a must-have for Xbox Live.-HARRISON DENT
Using the Xbox Live Vision camera, you can also chat by video with your friends while playing popular downloadable games such as Bankshot Billiards 2, Texas Hold'em, Hardwood Hearts, Hardwood Spades and more, available for paid download from Xbox Live Arcade.
