Aristeguietia salvia or Pega-pega as it is commonly known in Chile belongs to the Asteraceae family in the Asterales order. This ornamental flowering shrub grows to 2 meters in height and bears white flowers. In Chile it is found growing in low altitude interior valleys and coastal mountains at an altitude of 500m to 2000m. Aristeguietia salvia prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade.
