Description.

A VERY NICE BOXED COFFEE SET FROM THE DECORATING STUDIO OF FRIEDRICH SIMON. IT WAS MADE BY THE BOHEMIA CERAMIC WORKS AND DATES TO BEFORE THE SECOND WORLD WAR BUT AS BOTH COMPANIES USED THE SAME BACKSTAMPS UP UNTIL THEN IT IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AN EXACT DATE. THE CONDITION IS VERY GOOD, NO CHIPS OR CRACKS JUST A FEW LIGHT MARKS FROM USE. THE BOX HOWEVER HAS A FAIR AMOUNT OF SCUFF MARKS AND DINGS BUT THE HINGES AND CLASPS ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER.
bindenschild (beehive)Friedrich Simon Company - Decorator Marks

Friedrich Simon Company, a decorating studio in Karlovy Vary, Czechoslovakia (Karlsbad)

The company was in existence from 1900 to 1945. The company purchased blanks from Bohemia Ceramic Works and other Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad, Bohemia, Austria) area factories. He used an additional Mark on pieces with the original factory Mark that included FSC or FSK, presumably Friedrich Simon of Carlsbad or Karlsbad.
