LARGE FACETED LABRADORITE OF 10,07 carats STERLING SILVER RING.
A HEAVY 6,6 grams!
The gorgeous light-filled Labradorite gemstone derived its name from the Labrador Peninsula in Canada, one of the first places the stone was discovered. It is a hard crystalline mineral recognised for its capability to display a wide variety of colours when light strikes it. It produces reflections of blue, green, yellow, violet, red and orange. The effect is known as "labradorescence". In ancient times it was revered for its mystical powers and is still one of those stones regarded to have very special metaphysical qualities.
This particular ring is quite heavy (6,6 grams) and features an oval faceted labradorite with a total of 10,07 carats. It has been set in solid sterling silver with a decorative rope design around the head. It sits 7 mm above the finger. I tried to photograph the ring in different lights to show just how truly luminous this stone is!
