Want to add to or flesh out your Family Tree? Looking for info on that elusive ancestor? Let me try and help.
I have an extensive library of books that contain much interesting information for the South African Family historian and am offering to do research within the books for information relating to specifically requested names.
The library includes a number of early editions of the Southern African Who’s Who beginning with the 1912 edition as well as The SA Woman’s Who’s Who 1938 Die Afrikaanse famile naamboek 1955 Die Afrikaner Personeregister 1942. Women of South Africa 1913. Children of South Africa During the Great War. Cape of Good Hope Civil Service list 1900 & 1908, a large number of editions of Africana Notes and News, BSAP The Men Who Made Rhodesia, amongst many many others.
How will this work and what will it cost?
( NB. Please do NOT hit the Buy Now button on this listing)
1.) Simply make an enquiry via the Question and Answer button on this listing giving me details of the name, area, dates etc relating to the specific person you are researching ( No. living people please, for obvious reasons! ), or just a surname if you are collecting information on a particular family name ( This would obviously result in a lot more info) .
2.) I will search through my books and should I find relevant information I will answer your question with a quote based on the amount of information I would need to type up ( at a rate of 20c per word and R5 per scanned photo).Should the quote be agreeable to you I will then make a personal listing for you with the agreed amount. All you have to do then is hit the Buy Now button!
How will I receive the information?
Once you have placed your order and paid the agreed amount, I will type up the relevant information and send it to your email address as an attached Word document and/or photo attachment. The time it will take me is obviously related to the amount of information I have found.
An example below, with a scan of the relevant head and shoulders photo, would cost you R17
