Dala Orange Handle Interlocked  Bristle Round Brush (Series 882)

Fine quality interlocked pure bristle brush. Stiff resistance for control of full bodied colour. Best suited to all types of Oil and heavy bodied Acrylic. Use for dry-brushing ceramics.

There is usually a massive jump in price between the economy range of wooden handle bristle brushes, which everybody seems to be importing, and a decent, firm bristle brush which can be classified as 'artist's quality'. Dala has an excellent solution to this problem with their new painted handle, seamless ferule, Series 8 range of interlocking golden taklon bristle brushes. They are superbly weighted for a comfortable grip, and the interlock hairs regain their original design after each brushstroke, unlike cheaper brushes which splay, and lose their shape. Natural hairs are now more rare, more 'protected', and very expensive. This is why they have been replaced by synthetic brushes, particularly by TAKLON, a form of nylon.

While the economy range may be fine for schools, college and entry level painters, artists will definitely stock up on the FOUR types available in the range, namely ROUND, FLAT, BRIGHT (short flat, firmer for heavier paints) and FILBERT (a ideal sort of round and flat combination.) Those who have tried them are completely satisfied, and very happy that they are still economically and affordably priced for the man in the street.
