REVELATIONS: 2 THE FREYA RING
My childhood fascination with Mythology gave birth to the concept of a series of just 13 major artworks in gold. Each piece would draw its inspiration from a female Diety, or Goddess. Each would be unique, and NEVER duplicated.
The ‘Freya Ring’ may not be adequately described as mere jewellery, it is the apex of true art, with more than a few of a young boy’s dreams guiding the magical hands of the Master of Precious Metals who created this awe inspiring piece.
Flowing deep within the shining gold are my visions of Freya, and my human aspirations to create beauty that goes far beyond the mere word.
Fashioned by the finest Goldsmith it has been my privilege to know, and to work with, the ‘Freya Ring’ was conceived in my dreams, and made into a wondrous reality by hands whose skill and artistry render me speechless.
I believe that the woman who wears the ‘Freya Ring’ will, in some mystical way, be touched by the Goddess herself, and perhaps, in a frozen moment of time, she will ride with the Valkyrie..
FREYA

As I was the Night before your beginnings, I am the Light that will shine for you at the end. I wait as a seed within the Earth, as an egg within the womb, as the Spirit within the body. I am the matrix of all your magick. I am all that is, that has been, and that ever will be’
In Norse mythology, Freya is a goddess of love and fertility, and the most beautiful and propitious of the goddesses. When saddened, Freya cries golden tears, and She wears a shining golden necklace.
Her attributes are the precious necklace of the Brisings, which she obtained by sleeping with four dwarfs, a cloak (or skin) of bird feathers, which allows its wearer to change into a falcon, and a chariot pulled by two cats. She owns Hildesvini ("battle boar") which is actually her human lover Ottar in disguise.
Freya lives in the beautiful palace Folkvang, a place where love songs are always played, and her hall is Sessrumnir. She divides the slain warriors with Odin - one half goes to her palace, while the other half goes to Valhalla.

TECHNICAL DATA
The Freya Ring has been completely hand made in the finest quality 18k White Gold. The gold weight is a huge 24 grams.
The feature stone is a truly magnificent 8.48 Carat flawless Princess Cut Tanzanite. It is fully GIA Certified, and the GIA documentation will accompany the ring.
The Freya Ring will also be accompanied by a full GISA Jewellery Report.
The 8.48 Carat Flawless Princess Cut Tanzanite – the feature stone of the ‘Freya Ring’.
There are 2.51 Carats of high quality (G - VS) natural untreated diamonds hand set into the piece, as per the images.
A unique feature of the design is that the culit (the lower point) of the Tanzanite may be seen suspended above the rings of diamonds that pass beneath it, throwing their dazzling light through the astonishingly beautiful flawless Tanzanite.
The piece also has very intricate hand sculpted gold work that may be discerned on the images.
The ‘Freya Ring’ will NOT be sent by any Courier service. Instead, it will be delivered by hand anywhere in SA, by myself, and the Artist in precious metal’s who created it.
