Although we are also photography fanatics, we do not sell photographic equipment as a hobby, or to make a bit of pocket money. In spite of the fact that we trade with the purpose of being a profitable business, our number one priority will always be CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

Warranty issues
Most of the equipment we sell is imported from the USA, and as such, sold with a USA manufacturers' warranty. For an individual this would pose a problem, as sorting out a warranty claim could be a daunting task. Our customers do not have to fear this, as all warranty issues are handled by our South African office on your behalf, via our USA office.

Mack Camera & Video Service was established in 1938, so you can rest assured that your equipment will be protected if it needs service. Our Extended Warranty is designed to give the best total protection for equipment for the life of the warranty.
Mack Camera affords an international customer the ability to utilize any manufacturer authorized service center to repair their unit. Just contact our International Service department for instructions.

The Nikon D300s is the significant new version of the award winning D300 DSLR. The D300s brings HD movie capability, a faster frame advance rate of 7fps and dual CF and SD memory card slots to offer new opportunities for the serious enthusiast and professional alike

The Nikon D300s incorporates the same DX-format 12.3 mega pixel CMOS sensor as the D300 with professional 51-point auto-focus system and acclaimed EXPEED image processing in a discrete compact body. The world’s first digital SLR with movie capture was the Nikon D90 introduced in august 2008. The D300s now takes this function further by adding external stereo sound input, via the industry favoured 3.5mm jack. As lens motor and VR sounds can be amplified through the camera body to the on-board microphone, the external mic allows the addition of auto-focus during movie capture. The contrast detect, auto-focus system during live view tripod mode is twice as fast as the D300 and has much improved low light accuracy. The D300s captures images up to a blistering 7 frames per second without requiring any additional battery pack.The optional MB-D10 pack makes 8fps possible as well as improved vertical shooting ergonomics.

For the first time in this class, the D300s offers the choice of dual storage media standards;CF (compact Flash™) and SD (secure Digital™) options with full control of how the camera records data to them. It’s even possible to store stills to one format and movie clips to another.

The D300s inherits the ground-breaking imaging technologies from the D300 such as scene recognition system with 1005 pixel RGB colour metering, and class leading auto-focus performance from the 51-Point MulticaM3500 auto-focus system, which together deliver accurate auto-focus, auto exposure and auto white balance control.

The EXPEED image processing system delivers Nikon’s acclaimed image quality criteria of rich accurate colours, smooth skin gradations and exceptional detail with the minimum of noise.The D300s offers a variety of in-camera processing tools which now include an image resize function to process RAW files to one of four pre-set dimensions and movie editing in camera.The 3.0” 920K dot HD TFT monitor offering excellent image playback and virtual Horizon level display during live view and movie capture. On top of it all, you can choose from an unrivaled lineup of world-famous NIKKOR lenses and Nikon’s Total Imaging System.
