Offering a broad colour range, Sapphire performs well in low-light conditions, making it ideal for both northern and southern production. Dwarf, very well-branched plants are suited to 7 to 10-cm flowering pot plant programs, with no pinching or growth regulators needed to keep their tidy, petite appearance; can also be used as a border bedding plant. Basal-branching begins in the plug/young plant stage 5 to 7 weeks after sowing, and continues on to the finished plant. This unique branching characteristic leads to a more floriferous mature plant. One to two plants in each pot yields an attractive, rounded plant covered with blooms.
