Aristea inaequalis is a perennial that grows to 1.5 meters tall. This rare & beautiful, South African Iris relative, forms branching stems bearing panicles of deep blue flowers in Spring. The narrow & stiff, grayish leaves have red margins & remain evergreen all year. Spreads slowly by rhizomes. This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. It has average water needs.
