PLANTING SEASON: All year, but it is best to avoid the extremes of winter & summer during growing times. Best time of year: February to April & August to October.

CULTIVATION: Beetroot grows in most soils, except very acidic. It needs soil with good drainage. It is an excellent crop to follow after lettuce or cabbage. Plants are "half-hardy" to frost.
