Previously a handgun hunter, Adrian de Villiers changed to bow-hunting in the early 1980s. He has successfully bowhunted most of South Africa's indigenous species as well as over a dozen exotic species. He was the first South African to bowhunt the Big Six: buffalo, rhino, elephant, lion, leopard and hippo. He is a professional hunter and a master instructor for the International Bowhunting Education Foundation. In Bowhunting in Southern Africa, he tells the story of his hunting adventures and provides instruction on bowhunting at the same time.
A passion for books and a passion for collecting fine editions was the recipe that created the successful group of bookshops in Johannesburg called Bookdealers. The group started thirty years ago with one store in the quirky suburb of Yeoville and has grown through the years to a total of five shops, plus our online sales. Bookdealers is well-known for its collectable and used books. We also have a large variety of remaindered books sourced from around the world.
