An exceptionally beautiful high quality oval cut Tanzanite that has impressed me greatly. In natural daylight the green and violet are in the fore, with the violet showing off very nicely. Lots of silver highlights complete the picture.

 

Under normal domestic halogen lighting the Tanzanite is a steel blue, and positively alive with shards of silver dancing within the stone. It is quite simply an stunning specimen, and would make a very very beautiful piece of fine jewellery.

 

 

 

 

 It is a super example of what is perhaps the world's favourite coloured gemstone.
