Wonderful Walter Battiss ORIGINAL Pen & Ink drawing (29 x 19cm). Excellent investment!!

Signed and dated "1939 at Magalieberg" original pen & ink sketch by the South African Master Walter Battiss (1906 - 1982).  The measurements of the sketch is 29 x 19cm and it is beautifully framed. Battiss was a founding member of The New Group, a loose friendship of recognised contemporary European and American artists.  In 1949 he befriended Picasso who would have an influence on his already quirky style. 

His versatility and influence as an innovator, and the incentive that he has provided for many aspiring artists, have secured him a special place among leading South African artists.  This artist's work is sought after as an investment, an opportunity to own a work by a true master!!
