Synopsis:Martin Thembisile "Chris" Hani was born in Cofimvaba on June 28, 1942. He made rapid progress in the struggle organisations and filled senior positions in the African National Congress,the South African Communist Party and Umkhonto We Sizwe.

This documentary portrays the people's champion. Chris Hani by means of interviews and archive material. His dedication to bring peace and equality to his fractured country,his disciplines manner of doing things, his moral fibre, his political views, love for literature and the love fo his family is brought to the fore in the 56 minute programme.

Following the assassination of Chris Hani on 10 April 1993 emotions ran high and then the president of the ANC Nelson Mandela made the following appeal in an address to the nation:"let us re-dedicate ourselves to bringing about democracy Hani fought for all his life. democracy that will bring real, tangible changes in the lives of the working people, the jobless, the landless.

The legacy of chris Hani, the peacemaker, was evident when the nation faced reality and peace prevailed.
