ITEM NO 150
This little girl is for all doll lovers, I wish you guys could have seen her when I got her, I did not even know she was a Shirley Temple, she was dressed in a dress that looked like one of those barbie dresses that go over toilet rolls. She had a broken leg, was a warm shade of brown and was a total mess. I am boasting but I fixed her leg (not brilliantly as I have never done doll repairs but I think it looks fine), gave her a good clean, made her hair (origional mohair wig) look as presentable as possible and dressed her like a Shirley Temple should look and I think she looks brilliant. She definately had not been looked after and deserved a new life with someone who cares about dolls. She is quite big compared to other Shirley Temples and stands 54cms high and actually stands on her own. these dolls were made from 1930 to about 1935 and were apparently not marked Ideal but had the marking 20# to save money??? Her body, arms and 1 leg and her face were fine, I repaired the other one and with her socks on you cant see it all all, she does have a bit of age crazing and a few cracks, but the old composition dolls almost always do. I think she has the old tin eyes as well.
Sorry about the long story but I just think she looks so stunning compared to when I got her and she deserves a good home.
Postage will be 120.00 due to her size.
