Faucaria succulents are low growing, the thick fleshy leaves have teeth on the edges. Faucarias grow mainly in spring and autumn, preferring the cooler weather. As such planting them in a position where they get ample morning sun and some dappled shade in the afternoon is a good idea. As with all succulents, they are drought tolerant. Many Faucaria flower in late winter, often times the yellow flowers open during midday and close at night. Due to it's size Faucarias can be kept in pots. So even if you get frost, you'd be able to keep them if you remove them in house during winter. Surface sow succulent seed, use a very well draining mix. Only transplant seedlings after a year or more.
