WORLD RARE HUGE 49.80 CARAT VVS RUSSIAN AZURE BLUE TOPAZ.

EARTH MINED AT MURZINKA, URAL MOUNTAINS, RUSSIA

GEM TYPE: TOPAZ

CARAT WEIGHT: 49.80 CARATS

CLARITY: VVS

COLOUR: AZURE BLUE

DIMENSIONS: 25.07 x 20.94 x 14.20mm

CUT: PEAR CUT

ORIGIN: MURZINKA, URAL MOUNTAINS, RUSSIA

TREATMENTS: HEAT ONLY

An absolutely beautiful, and exceptionally rare, Murzinka azure blue pear cut Topaz. It is a gemstone of staggering quality, and magnificent proportions. The colour is exquisite, and the saturation nothing less than perfection. Blue Topaz originating in South America is usually irradiated to create the blue. This Topaz has only had routine heat, which makes it not just rare, but very very special too.

Topaz ranges from colourless (white) to yellow, orange, red-brown, light to dark-blue, pink to red, violet and light-green. This is the reason why it can be mistaken for many other gemstones. Naturally coloured Topaz gets its colour from iron and chromium; the impurities cause colour, whereas pure Topaz is colourless. Most unadulterated topaz is colourless or pale blue.
