This is the second biggest official Ubuntu edition, providing users with Live DVD ISO images of 2.5GB in size and supporting both 64-bit and 32-bit architectures. The boot menu of the Live DVD will provide exactly the same options like on other Ubuntu-derived distributions.

Boot options

You can install the entire operating system directly from the boot menu, but if this is your first time with Ubuntu Studio, we strongly suggest to try it before installing it. Rest assure that nothing will be installed on your computer during the live session.
Xfce is the default graphical desktop environment

Except for the artwork, this edition is quite identical with the Xubuntu Linux operating system. Therefore, if you’ve used Xubuntu before, you will definitely know your way around Ubuntu Studio without the hassle of learning how to use it.
