South Africa 2004 7th Definitive complete booklet with "Imperf panes" direct printed on the inside cover instead of on the "stamp paper", very fine and scarce.
The paper used for printing self adhesives is produced as follows: The backing paper and the paper on which the self adhesive stamps are printed are manufactured as one single sheet seperated by the silicone adhesive. The stamp images and the images on the booklet cover are printed on the same time on both sides of the paper. In the case of this booklet there was a production error and the (rouletted) stamp paper was seperated from the backing paper. The stamp images were then printed onto the backing paper.
