“The reflective capabilities really reduce the temperature inside the caravan and under the tent roof. There is a very measurable difference in temp between a caravan with a silver sheet standing in the sun and a caravan standing in the shade under a tree. I would say about 6 degrees. Second reason this is an investments even if you camp under a canopy of trees the silver sheet protects your tent. Usually there are a lot of birds and the droppings will eventually stain your tent roof. We all know that you cannot use any soaps or solvents to clean the roof as it may cause the roof to leak. With the silver sheet you can wash it with whatever you want as its main purpose is to protect the roof and reflect the sun's rays. The third reason is: In the event of a strong wind coming up I use the sheet to strap down the tent. I also have poles to lift the ends of the sheet to reduce the glare to fellow campers but for those camping above me, all I can say is sorry the sun's ray comes from there. If you buy a silver reflective sheet, i would suggest going all the way. Buy something that is durable and does more than just reflect the rays of the sun. I would also say the material it is very good and a very durable product.”
