ATTRACTIVE VINTAGE SWISS WATCH - CAMY 17 - JEWEL ANALOGUE

An attractive vintage watch made by Camy, a famous Swiss watch company founded at Grenchen in 1913. Raymond Weil started his career there, where he worked for 25 years before starting his own company. Although the company no longer exists, its reputation lives on in vintage examples like this one, with its striking red face. Dating from the late 1960s/early 1970s, it has a 17-jewels hand-winding movement and the case has a diameter of 36mm (excluding crown), and measures 40mm from lug-tip to lug-tip. It is on a handsome coordinating Banlon strap. It appears to keep good time, but could probably benefit from a service. It is in a very clean state, and the strap unworn.
