SADF INFANTRY BATTALIONS SELECTED FLASHES POSTER 1

Illustration by C.R. Wolmarans, 3 S.A.I. Veteran - LIMITED EDITION (Only 20 prints made)

Depicting flashes of selected S.A.I. Battalions 1956 - 1989 as well as Infantry School and Army HQ.

Includes a strip of different Company shoulder patch identification drawings at the bottom.

SIZE: 41,5 cm X 29,6 cm on thick 200 gsm matt white stock paper with a white border all round.

First of a series of posters. A lot of research went into comprising the poster to make it as authentic as possible

Hence the detailed illustration of 1 S.A.I. showing the evolution of the logo from the crossed swords flash (1959) to the Ostrich Plumes since the battalion is in Oudtshoorn. The Ratel was chosen as the larger since it's a mechanised battalion and partook in the South African Bush War campaigns.
