The Crimea Medal is named “JZ Culumbusch Masheane Motsuene”
The Mercantile Marine War Medal is named “Masheane Motsuene”
I am not an expert on medals, but find it strange that the two medals differ in age more than half a century, yet have the same recipient. A medal collector looked at the two medals and feel that the Mercantile Marine Medal has been renamed – probably by a son or grandson of the Crimea Medal recipient.
