The Royal Doulton Biddy Penny Farthing HN1843 Figure is wearing a pink blouse with a delicate hand-painted pattern, simple white skirt and apron, a black scarf around her neck, and a black shawl with pink fringe draped over her shoulders. She has a multicolored headpiece with a yellow flower. She has a bunch of multicolored balloons, and a basket of yellow flowers on her left arm for sale, and a bunch of flowers in her right hand.
One in a series of Royal Doulton balloon sellers, Biddy Penny Farthing anxiously awaits her next customer. Modelled originally by Leslie Harradine in 1938 this is a highly collectable Royal Doulton figurine with a classic pedigree behind it. An extremely rare version of this figure without balloons was made in 1942.
